Atif Adam received his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India has worked across various health systems around the world including the UK, Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. He received his PhD in Health Systems at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
As a postdoctoral fellow with the GOPC, Atif focused on developing systems models to address obesity prevention and control, integrating clinical medicine, socio-epidemiology and complex systems modelling. Atif worked on a wide array of systems science related projects focusing on the application of theoretical and mathematical tools contributing to the development of the GOPC’s suite of complex, adaptive models.
He also built on the GOPC’s chronic disease prediction models, integrating his dissertation work in the development of spatially explicit simulations to understand adverse economic outcomes and health disparities associated with chronic disease progression across the lifespan.
