Kripa received her BS from Ramnarain Ruia College (Mumbai University) in Life Sciences and MS in Food Science and Nutrition from the Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Home Science (S.N.D.T. Women's University) in India. She also has experience of working with an NGO called the Foundation for Mother and Child Health-India in Mumbai where she was involved in nutrition counseling, conducting cooking demonstrations and nutritional assessments of children 0-3 years of age.
At Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, she is enrolled in the MSPH (Human Nutrition) program to advance her knowledge in public health. She aims to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate effective nutrition programs and interventions to tackle nutritional problems like undernutrition. At the GOPC, she was involved in scoring calories for recreation centers, schools and home environments that can be used to model food environments for decision-making. She was also involved in in-depth interviews with stakeholders.
