Teresa Schwendler received her BS in Nutrition & Dietetics from Miami University and then completed her dietetic internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
She worked as an interventionist for the B’more Healthy Community for Kids (BHCK) project. Teresa would intervene at the store level to improve access and demand for healthier food in low income neighborhoods in Baltimore City.
Teresa is passionate about empowering community members to demand healthy food through nutrition education. She hopes to one day design studies which both assess and address community’s specific nutrition education needs.
