Yardley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Sociology from the College of William & Mary. He has previously worked in rural communities to support sustainable health interventions through a community-based participatory development approach.
At the GOPC, Yardley contributes to the modeling efforts of the Systems Science Core (SSC) to address the prevention and control of obesity. He is primarily interested in applying a systems approach to better understand complex public health problems in order to design and evaluate intervention strategies
