Dr. Benjamin Caballero is a Professor of International Health and of Pediatrics, and Director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the Schools of Public Health and of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University.  He is a member of the Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences, and of the Nutrition and Metabolism Study Section, National Institutes of Health.  Dr. Caballero’s research on childhood nutrition encompasses protein-energy malnutrition, nutrition and infection interactions, and obesity, particularly in minorities and developing country populations.
