Leah graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Evolutionary Biology and a minor in Global Health and Health Policy in 2011. She worked for one year as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the World Trade Center Health Program of Mount Sinai in New York City. In 2012, she began medical school at the University of Pennsylvania.
Leah’s primary interests include child health, early childhood development, nutrition and global health. She plans to go into pediatrics and aims to have a career that combines clinical medicine and public health. At Hopkins, she is concentrating in Child and Adolescent Health and pursuing a certificate in Food Systems, Environment and Public Health. At the GOPC, she worked with the B’more Healthy Communities for Kids (BHCK) project in various roles, including policy, data collection and data entry.
